New Mexico sophomore Weini Kelati won her 5,000-meter semifinal heat in 15:39.64, covering the final mile in 4:40, at the West Regionals in Sacramento, Calif. Kelati is one of three New Mexico athletes to advance to nationals in Austin, Texas in multiple events, doubling in the 5,000 and 10,000. Teammates Adva Cohen and Charlotte Prouse both qualified in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000, with Ednah Kurgat qualifying in the 10,000.
